Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is unique in the services it strives to provide; community, mental health and acute hospital services, working with health and social care partners in Somerset to ensure the delivery of outstanding services to the community.
We worked with the trust to design and develop a project with Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, to reflect the planned merger of the two Trusts.
The project represented an interesting challenge - the bringing-together of two NHS Trusts, and the need to communicate a clear, coherent message that is representative of the values and objectives of the newly-formed Trust, whilst adhering to strict NHS brand guidelines and style guides.
We are working with the Trust to create digital style guides, including key components and patterns, whilst obtaining feedback from key stakeholders and focus groups throughout this process, prior to moving onto the Wordpress website build. The new website integrates IP Geolocating for specific pages and users, eCommerce functionality and a recruitment portal for the Trust.
As we specialise in complex integration projects as well as building and integrating third party APIs, the team sought to work in collaboration with the Trust to build on existing practices and refine our methodologies. This ultimately yielded a functional yet entirely user-friendly site, widely accessible and rich in content.
The site has seen huge success and we are continually working to better the online presence and reach of support for the Somerset Trust.
